Dear Friends,
“What is antisemitism, and why is it everyone’s concern?” “Why is antisemitism so confusing and difficult to understand and talk about?” And what can we as concerned F/friends do about it?
As we think about current situations that could harm our neighbors and friends (and many other people) we see that antisemitism is on the rise. It’s easy to identify when there is a Proud Boy carrying a swastika banner in a major march. But what about the ongoing antisemitism in our schools and local areas? How is it being used to divide groups from each other?
We hope you will consider this opportunity to learn about, and reflect on these questions.
Cherie Brown, founder of the National Coalition Building Institute, will be the featured speaker at this Weds. April 19 zoom talk that starts at 7 PM. Broadcast is part of the “Let’s Talk Series” of the Dock C Bracy Center for Human Reconciliation. Registration is free. The talk will be available later on the Dock C Bracy Center’s website. There is a link below that leads to more information and registration.
We hope you will be interested to join us in our efforts to become better informed and better allies in a world where antisemitism now seems commonplace.
Blessings,
Diane S, Martha B, Cairn K
