Community Engagement

Through our committees, broader Quaker organizations, and interfaith alliances,  Annapolis Friends Meeting acts locally and thinks globally on the great concerns of our time such as: world peace, alternatives to violence, racial justice, homelessness, LGBTQ+ rights, and protection of the environment.

We are very active in our community. Our Meeting and individuals contribute resources (time, money and physical space) to valued organizations and causes. Among those include: the Light House – a Homeless Prevention Support Center, ACT (Anne Arundel Connected Together, Black Lives Matter, AACRC (Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center), Interfaith Action, One America Movement, the Friends Place on Capitol Hill (once known as the William Penn House) in Washington, D.C., dismantling racism workshops and discussions, and climate change education.
