“Maryland has a goal of planting 5 Million Trees”… Here’s an opportunity to become involved –

Trees for Sacred Places: An Information Session

Friends, In keeping with our stewardship testimony we are pleased to share the following information and invitation offered by the Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake (IPC) (with whom we now partner) about their new program and partnership with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources:

“Maryland has a goal of planting 5 Million Trees

You, can help meet that goal! [Learn more and register here…].

IPC has contracted with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to identify viable tree plantings on private and congregation-owned lands through our Trees for Sacred Places program. Come learn if you or your congregations property are a good fit for a tree planting with the MD DNR! These will be free tree plantings of any tree from the MD DNR nursery.

An overview of the Trees for Sacred Places program will be provided during this informational session, as well as ample time for questions.”

When: Wednesday, March 13th from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Where: Virtually on Zoom
