Quaker Solidarity Walk from NYC to Washington, DC -Starts soon! April 25, 2025April 25, 2025 The Baltimore Yearly Meeting shares the following – Project of the Brooklyn Quaker Meeting The Walk Begins May 4, 2025 A group of young Friends working with Brooklyn Meeting’s Peace and and Social Action committee are partnering with like-minded faith, interfaith, and other groups to organize a 265 mile solidarity walk from Flushing, Queens to Washington, DC. The three-week walk will build energy through strategic events and demonstrations, mobilizing communities to defend our democracy and protect our free speech rights. Upon reaching Washington D.C., walkers will deliver the historic Flushing Remonstrance petition along with specific demands to Congressional leaders.
