Please hold the date (4/27/25) to come enjoy what I personally think of as a “Meeting for Worship in the form of Sacred Chant & Dance.”
Everyone is most welcome! No need to be on our feet to dance and no need to be “perfect pitch” to sing. Each Friend has a place in our circle as “we are here for all of us”– those present as well as those we carry in our hearts.
We’ll first “prime the pump” by invoking the special gifts and teachings of each of the Four Directions, through the words of a woman from the Seneca Tribe. Most of the chant/dances are familiar, with one or two new ones that are easy to learn.
Our theme will be whatever you make it to be. In these “times like no other,” we need to express our joy in being together, dancing and singing our faith, our hope, and our love. And to remember gratitude: in the words of Diana Butler Bass, “the capacity to stare doubt, loss, chaos and despair right in the eye and say, ‘I’m still here!'”
More info to follow plus a song sheet. Let me know if you would like to know more about what we do and how we dance.
In peace and solidarity,
