Friends –
We owe many thanks to Tim M’s nephew, Chris C. , who selected much-needed work on AFM’s nature trail for his Eagle Scout service project this past First Day.
The trail work was very well-supported & efficient! Chris organized about 20-25 workers, including some former scouts who returned from college to help him and several adults from his Troop.

They mulched cleared the trail generally, picked up many loads of bottles & trash along the way, put down mulch on the first sloped section, trimmed back brush, installed 7 new pallets on the main section, and two thick rope “hand rails” on the back section below the solar panels — all in 2+ hours!
Collectively, about 50 hours of work! All are invited to take a stroll — with much less danger of muddy shoes than usual– to see the improvements.
Congratulations to Chris on all that he and his fellow scouts achieved. -Phil Caroom
