Black Quaker Voices grew from a simple but meaningful act of faith and trust.
When Bonnie Peregoy made the bold decision to lay down the work, Angela Hicks felt led to step forward. What began as one Friend's willingness to carry the work grew, through the movement of Spirit and the gifts of others, into something neither could have envisioned alone.
Sheryl Grier brought her creativity and vision to establishing a digital home for the exhibit, while Alissa Greenwood offered support through the Communications Committee. Mark, whose generous work setting up and breaking down the exhibit gave others the freedom to focus on its message and engage with visitors, contributed an equally important gift of service.
Together, these contributions reflect the Quaker understanding that meaningful work unfolds through shared discernment, trust, and the willingness to serve in different ways.
What began with one Friend laying down a responsibility and another stepping forward continues to grow through the gifts of many.[cite: 1]
